Discovering Roxbury: Mission Hill Chapter

What a marvelous fall we have been experiencing here in New England!

Most recently we celebrated and collaborated through out the Boston area more specifically Roxbury and other surrounding cities to bring Discover Roxbury Open Studios  Annual Artistic Showcase.

An exciting two day event that was held on October 3 & 4 in many site locations.

DaArtistZNT and friends  represented well in a new site location located at the beloved JP LICKS MISSION HILL.

This opportunity brought family fun, culture and arts for an otherwise quiet corridor of Brigham Circle.

We had a variety of art available created by 5 talented artist of varied backgrounds.

Original works, prints, canvas paintings and the art of photography. We were greeted by children, families, the old and the young. Surprised to see art work being displayed in the lower level hall of Stop and Shop corridor community members were educated and dazzled on the history of Discover Roxbury and the birth of JP LICKS being a home for artists.

I was accompanied by my beloved youngest son Diligent Shallah affectionately known as Dili. It's not easy being an artist let alone a single mom. He joined me for the two day extravaganza bringing joy and laughter to all he encountered.

He even helped me promote my face painting business!

This overall experience was brought together by many community organizations.

Performance as Art: What's Next?

Peaceful Greetings and a very Happy Autumn!

The last few weeks have been artistically productive. I have been putting a great deal of focus on further cultivating my skills as a renaissance artist incorporating my love for the visual and performance.

I currently have several performance opportunities coming up for the month of October.

I hope you can join me as both events are deeply engaging, foster community and address societal concerns locally and nationally.

Join  me with the renowned "Tim Miller"

This coming Saturday October 10, 2015
